Independent IT Consultants

Challenges:

ALTO Solutions:

  • ALTO technicians can be engaged on an as-needed basis. This allows you take on additional clients or opportunities and expand your business, without worrying about the overhead associated with hiring full-time employees.
  • You can engage ALTO as little or as often as you'd like. This is beneficial during peak times during the day, week, or month, or if your customers have a busy season. 
  • Finding an opportunity to take personal time or go on a long vacation is especially challenging if it's just you. With ALTO, a contractor is available to do both remote and onsite work on your behalf while you're away, allowing you to enjoy some time away from the hustle.

IT Companies and MSP's

Challenges:

  • Employee turnover rates
  • After hours and weekend coverage

  • Due to the nature of a contract-based relationship, there is no turnover rate associated with your business and ALTO contractors. 
  • Usually, employees aren't thrilled that they have to give up their personal time after hours and on the weekend, to provide extended support hours to your customers if you offer such. There may also be additional compensation associated with this as well.   • Whether its WiFi thermostats, fire alarms, smoke detectors, keypads/locks, an increasing number of devices are requiring networking or general IT knowledge in order to configure them. ALTO contractors can assist by showing you how to set up these devices, and provide you support on an as-needed basis, so you stay relevant and competitive. 
  • Odds are if you're a vendor that doesn't do networking, server, or any IT-related tasks, your customers have asked you about it. You may have even redirected these customers to someone else. ALTO contractors can fill in those gaps, allowing you offer a more comprehensive list of services to your customers. 
  • If you're a telco vendor and specialize in just phone systems, or a locksmith that sticks to just lock-and-key types of products, you could be missing out on higher end proposals. Having an IT resource available from ALTO would allow you to get into higher end projects that you might not have considered. For example, instead of quoting out a customer for just a phone server, you could now include a firewall and other networking equipment. Or maybe a customer wants an access card system installed with key fobs, remote access for facilities staff to manage while offsite, etc., an ALTO contractor could help make that possible.
